It's been proven time and time again, that hockey players have a sense of humor. Detroit Red Wings defenseman Mike Commodore is considering to take the number 64 with his new team. The former Blue Jackets defenseman is not exactly the best defenseman in the world, and was a point of contention for the team last season. The Commodore 64 jersey would probably be the highest selling jersey for the league if it happens. Here's what Mike Commodore has said on Twitter:
For those asking, I have not decided what # I am wearing yet...but I am considering #64. Need to talk to equip manager..decide at camp. There has also been Internet buzz and even one of the most read NHL blogs, Puck Daddy is doing a charity drive to make this jersey number happen.
To be completely honest though, Mike Commodore plays hockey like a Commodore 64: slow, old, and 2-dimensional.
