Politics and Pucks

I think this is a good time to take a few minutes to talk. Because I have started a new blog, I've decided to take a moment to answer a few questions that might pop up:

Q: Mike, why are you ending Politics and Pucks?
A: I'm not ending this blog. There will be less blogging likely, but this blog will still remain. The new blog, The Internet Industrial Complex is one I'm starting for a research seminar on the "Social Internet". It will cover a lot of topics in social media and the Internet, which is part of my research interests. It will not be like this blog, but rather something a little more professional. By the way, this is sounding like an awesome class so far.

Q: That sounds like you're transitioning to WordPress, something you've mentioned in the past. Are you?
A: Possibly. At the moment, this blog will be staying exactly where it is. If I find that I want to move this blog there, you will be given ample warning.

Q: What will you write about here, since the other blog sounds an awful lot like your content already?
A: The new blog I've started is very different. Like I said before, it's going to be a bit more professional, and something that I will be paying a little more attention to for the moment. Again, there's no reason to abandon this blog.

Q: Are you thinking about any changes for this blog?
A: Yes I am, and I'll announce about it once I finalize it.

Q: Are you going to write more about hockey?
A: I definitely will. I now have NHL Network, Versus, and a slew of other channels with hockey in my cable package. I have no excuse as long as I watch TV and read news once in a while. There's also an election coming up too, so there's a lot of political things going on.

Q: Should I read your new blog?
A: Absolutely! Well, if you want to at least. Just keep in mind there's a different focus on the other blog.
