My good friend and fellow Purdue Alum, Ryan Coons is sleeping on my couch. It has come to my attention that he has requested an intervention of two things: Harry Potter and Pokemon. I was really into Pokemon as a kid, and not as much Harry Potter*. So I figure the best way to introduce him to it is to have him watch the first 2-3 episodes of the anime.
As Jennifer McCreight has told me, the anime is wrong and should just make him play Pokemon Blue (Which I have, and still play from time to time). I contend the anime is sufficient and gives him the basics in how it works. Granted I agree with the notion that the anime is wrong with how things work, and they took at a lot of liberties with it, it lays the foundation for Pokemon in a succinct fashion.
How would you stage a Pokemon intervention?
*-Before you get upset with me: I'm not the biggest fan of Harry Potter, but I don't hate it. I read the first 4 books, and saw the first 5 films. If you love Harry Potter I have no reason to have ill will.
